Perhaps rekindled by the good box office fortunes of Disney’s other revisionist fairy tale Maleficent, studio executives seem to be once again hot for a sequel to their 2007 hit Enchanted. Disney’s never met an idea that they couldn’t franchise, and it does seem odd that almost sever years later we have to receive an Enchanted 2. The adventure of princess-out-of-water Giselle (Amy Adams), who is lured away from her storybook homeland and exiled to the utterly un-magical world of modern Manhattan, practically demands a follow-up. Perhaps all they lacked was a decent script. Well then, problem solved, because Disney just hired a new pair of script doctors to bring this sequel to life. Maybe. (more…)
Maybe it’s just the summer of blockbusters, but I feel like I’ve seen way more clips, teasers, and trailers than I’m accustomed to. Hmm, now that I think about it, there certainly has been an abundance of footage released for select films. Hell, how many clips now have we seen for Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class and Super 8? It’s been a bit much don’t you think? I feel like I’ve seen each one of these movies in there entirety already.
Anyway, yesterday we saw a clip for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. No robots or action. Just a scene with Shia LaBeouf‘s new girl (played by Rosie Huntington-Whitely) introducing him to her boss Dylan Gould (Patrick Dempsey). Shia does his awkward thing while Whitely tries to act. Blargh!
A second clip has been released, and it features Josh Duhamel‘s character, Lt. Colonel William Lennox rallying his soldiers. All I could think during his little ‘it’s time to go to war’ spiel was J.J. Abrams is gonna have a nerdgasm from all these lens flares Bay’s throwing in, that and shouldn’t this guy be dead by now. Seriously, how does a tiny pile of flesh and bones, with the equivalent of a pellet gun, survive countless battles with 3 story tall robots? Whatever. It’s just a movie and I need to shut the hell up and admire his well groomed hair.
Transformers Dark of the Moon will hit theaters July 1st, 2011.
It stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, John Malkovich, John Tuturro, Frances McDormand and Tyrese Gibson.
The Autobots learn of a Cybertronian spacecraft hidden on the Moon, and race against the Decepticons to reach it and learn its secrets, which could turn the tide in the Transformers’ final battle.

Voulez-vous regarder une caravane en montrant des Autooestres contre Decepticons en Francais?
For those of you that don’t speak French, what I said above means “Would you like to see a trailer showing Autobots versus Decepticons in French?”
Because, I don’t know about you, but that’s what I’ve been looking forward to every since the Transformers: Dark of the Moon trailer premiered! And while this trailer doesn’t really showcase any new action, we do get glimpses at two characters previously unseen: John Malkovich (playing businessman Bruce Brazos) and Patrick Dempsey (playing race-car driver Dylan).
Is it the greatest one minute trailer that you’ll ever see? No. But you should still check out the trailer embedded below, as any one that has Optimus Prime speaking French is aces in my book!
Yesterday saw the full trailer for Micheal Bay’s 3rd (and last) Transformers flick Transformers: Dark of the Moon. I’m not giving any credit to Bay (he’s NEVER deserved it), but I gotta hand it to his editing team, they sure know how to cut a trailer. Explosions, robots, skyscrapers being ripped apart by giant steel tentacles, Optimus Prime slicing through bots and so on. I admit I was excited. After the ABOMINATION that was TF2 I have a hard time wanting to give this a chance. Bay’s got a lot to prove. I’m waiting to laugh at his miserable failure of a film (despite how much money it makes), but I’d like to be proven wrong. For once.
Anyway, an official poster for ‘Dark of the Moon’ has been released. It’s serviceable. Optimus looks like a badass (did he bulk up? I guess if robots can grow mustaches then they can grow muscles too) but what’s up with the engines in front of his feet? Call me crazy, but they look like boobs. I guess subliminal areolas is what it takes to sell a movie these days.
The movie is set to be released in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters on July 1st, 2011.
It stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, Julie White, Frances McDormand, John Malkovich, Ken Jeong, Patrick Dempsey, Alan Tudyk, John Turturro and Leonard Nimoy.
The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
