When Paul Reubens first made the Netflix/Pee-wee’s Big Holiday announcement, many fans wondered if he could recapture that Pee Wee Herman magic. It has been over 25 years since we last saw Pee-wee Herman on the big screen in 1988’s Big Top Pee Wee. Are you ready for more Pee-wee? (more…)

Pee-Wee Herman is back in the drivers seat as Netflix announces the March 18th premiere date for Paul Reubens new feature length movie, Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday. The video announcement below pays homage to Pee Wee’s crazy house full of homemade gadgets like his Abraham Lincoln pancake flipping breakfast making machine. (more…)
The third season of Gotham will see Paul Reubens reprising his role as the father of Oswald Cobblepot, the Penguin. Reubens first played the role back in Tim Burton‘s Batman Returns in 1992. Will he still have the name Tucker Cobblepot, or will Gotham take liberties with the name, and more importantly, what will he look like? While we don’t know about the name, we can at least clear up any lingering doubts about how the character will look in Gotham. (more…)
The first production still from Pee-Wee Herman‘s new Netflix movie Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday has hit the Internet and it makes all those Pee Wee promises we were expecting. There’s no release date yet, but Paul Reubens is sure to keep us up to date on whats happening on set as production chugs along. (more…)
Pee-Wee Herman made a welcome return to the stage in The Pee–wee Herman Show on Broadway, winning over critics and fans alike. This reignited plans to make the long-gestating feature length follow-up to 1988s Big-Top Pee-wee, with Judd Apatow producing. Since initially announced a year ago, the script has underwent numerous revisions and now it seems they are ready to start shooting soon (although we have been hearing that they have been ready to start shooting throughout the year, so we remain slightly skeptical). One thing is a dead certain however – the Pee-Wee Herman movie will be a Netflix production; with exclusivity most likely being confined to the streaming service. (more…)
The Nerd Bastards site and Facebook page blew up last week when Paul Reubens announced that another Pee Wee Herman movie was in the works. Fans have been waiting a long time and the talk of another movie was beginning to take on a Ghostbuster 3 vibe, meaning that we’d hear a lot of sporadic talk for the last three years, but nothing would ever happen. Reubens made an appearance on the The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night to talk more about the movie and drop a couple more important details. (more…)
People who know me well say that I spend too much time living in the past. I’m discerning about today’s music, but if anything from the 80’s pops up on the radio, I’m blasting it. My favorite TV show of all time is ‘Tales Of The Gold Monkey,’ so the recent troubles of Stephen Collins kinda put me in a weird place. That’s a serious mistake that he’ll never recover from. Other folks are luckier than that. Time heals a lot of wounds, and when some people are done paying, they get another chance to shine above regretful choices. It’s usually several years later, but the beauty in that gives overly nostalgic idiots like myself a chance to relive treasured times. Paul Reubens aka Pee-wee Herman is one of the lucky ones. And sometimes luck is better than a time machine. (more…)
It’s been quite a long time since childhood icon, Pee-wee Herman last made an appearance on the big screen. It’s been 25 years, in fact, with Big-Top Pee-wee being the last installment back in 1988. So what’s a Paul Reubens to do? Well, the rumors have been circulating and the pot boiling for a couple of years now about a return to the franchise and now Judd Apatow, the producer linked to the film, has something new (if not completely astounding) to say. (more…)
If there’s one series that should never have stopped, it’s the Pee-Wee Herman franchise. Okay, I speak with a slight bit of sarcasm, but there are seriously people that loved that shit. It’s been quite a while since Pee-Wee has reared his head in the media world and Paul Reubens, having little else to do with himself these days, has been working hard to get something going. Now, it looks like the Pee-Wee madness is about to start.
Reubens made the official announcement that the new Pee-Wee Herman movie is ready to go. The script is done, the money is secured and the director is signed. Unfortunately, he hasn’t said anything about who that director is. Or pretty much anything else at all, really, aside from the fact that we should expect the new flick to begin filming next year.
That would make 2014 a booming year for the mega-fans of Pee-Wee, since it looks like they’re also putting together a new Pee-Wee TV show and that one is slotted to begin airing next year.
The Return of the Reubens is upon us folks, so prepare thyselves.
Thanks to /Film for the heads-up.

Following in the footsteps of the Robot Chicken Star Wars specials, the Robot Chicken DC Comics Special will take a close, stop-motion look at our favorites, Batman, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the DC Comics universe.
Yeah, yeah . . . you too Aquaman . . .
To voice these heroes Robot Chicken has pulled out all the stops with Robot Chicken co-creator Seth Green as Batman, Robin and Aquaman; Paul Reubens as The Riddler; Neil Patrick Harris as Two-Face; Alfred Molina as Lex Luthor; Nathan Fillion as the Green Lantern; Megan Fox as Lois Lane; and Breckin Meyer as Superman.
”Having been raised on DC Comics and the Super Friends vs. Legion of Doom, it’s exciting to tell a whole Robot Chicken story within this awesome universe,” Green said.
Robot Chicken co-creator Matthew Senreich:
“We’ve been working with (DC Entertainment chief creative officer) Geoff Johns for over 15 years, so playing together on this special only made it more fun to work in the worlds we all love so dearly.”
Stoopid Buddy Stoodios, DC Entertainment, and Warner Bros Animation worked out the details and later this year we’ll all get the chance to enjoy this Robot Chicken project.
