At the upfronts today, the Fox network announced that Gotham, the new Batman prequel series, was getting a plum spot on the prime time schedule. Come September, you’ll be able to watch Gotham leading in to a brand new season of Sleepy Hollow, and if that isn’t an awesome night of nerdy TV, I don’t know what is (unless The CW teams up Arrow with The Flash). But the show won’t be on the air for months, so in a rather tepid attempt to hold over you nerds till the fall, here’s a bunch of behind the scenes photos from the series! (more…)

To wrap up the cosplay parade from Toronto ComiCon this weekend, we’re kicking it old school. Not quite as old school as the original Norse mythology version of Thor, but he was at the con too. Nope, in this gallery you’ll see a variety of Boba Fetts, some more X-Men, a couple of Captain Picards, a Katniss Everdeen and what has to be the tallest damn Batman I’ve ever seen. The Doctor shows himself again, we found another Catwoman, and we said “Howdy” to cowboy Deadpool. Even Loki stopped and let us take a picture. All that and more in our third and final photo gallery from the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and Toronto ComiCon weekend. (more…)

On Day 2 of Toronto ComiCon, the parade of weird and unusual continued. Bizarre team-ups and mash-ups seemed to be the rule of thumb for the day, including Star Sapphire Spider-Man, Deadmau5-pool, and a Despicable Me minion that looks a lot like Wolverine. The Batman villains kept coming, including numerous Poison Ivys and Harley Quinns, but for the safety of all fans, LEGO Batman was on the scene to keep the peace. And if he failed there was always Spawn. Or Radioactive Man. Or Master Shake. Also, zombies finally put in an appearance, as did #PoorLeo, and what has to be the first cosplayers from Steven Spielberg’s Hook I’ve ever encountered… Want to take a look at all the cosplay fit to be enshrined from the second of the con? Check out our photo gallery below. (more…)

With the over two dozen new photos from the upcoming ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., you probably won’t have to watch the first episode when it premieres on Tuesday, September 24th at 8:00 pm (of course, we know you still are so don’t feel bad when you do). The pictures feature new shots of the series main characters including Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker), Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) and Skye (Chloe Bennet). Also included are shots of Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, J. August Richards as the new hero at the center of the pilot, and Ron Glass(?).
