Finding Nemo remains a creative, commercial and critical benchmark for Pixar with its colorful characters, amazing visuals, and touching story about a father trying to find his missing on. But can lightning strike twice? Pixar’s own track record with sequels and prequels has been spotty with the Toy Story films winning creative gold three times over, while Cars 2 and Monsters University marked a less than stellar period in the studio’s recent history. So where will Finding Dory land on the spectrum? It’s tough to say, but from the looks of this new trailer, and all previous one, it seems that a dozen years have only sharpened Pixar’s skills at bringing underwater worlds to vivid life. (more…)

Disney & Pixar Studios have released a clip from their upcoming film, ‘Brave’ where the ancient customs of the Celtic take center stage with main character Merida, and her family. In the following clip we get a glimpse of Merida and her family’s interaction with another, as we hear her father,King Fergus, tell the  infamous tale of how he lost his leg. Disney has also announced, via press release, that  the world premiere of Brave will be held on June 18th at the grand opening of the new Dolby Theatre in LA.

Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.

Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late. In Theaters June 18th.
