Power Rangers Movie

You’d think that the most iconic Power Ranger many fans would be familiar with would’ve been Jason Scott, the Red Ranger. However, that award goes to Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger. By now it’s no surprise that the Green Ranger will probably be in the Power Ranger sequel (if there is one, which there most likely will be). But in a recent interview the cast came out saying that they believe the Green Ranger should be a girl. Warning: If you haven’t seen the movie yet, there are some minor spoilers inside.

It’s Morphin’ Time! No seriously, because in this trailer, we finally see the Power Rangers morph. Following up on the initial trailer, which only showed the titular Rangers in their civilian identity as basically a 21st century Breakfast Club, discovering some mysterious coins that could lead to their destiny, but now we get a taste of that destiny. Behold the spectacle of the new Power Rangers! (more…)

So we’ve seen what the Power Rangers themselves look like, we’ve also seen the new Zords in all their mechanized glory. We’ve seen the Rangers’ helper Alpha 5, and we’ve seen the villain of the piece, Rita Repulsa, played by Elizabeth Banks. We’ve seen all the major components of the upcoming big screen Power Rangers reboot, and with the movie arriving in just a couple of months it looks like we’re now getting a look at some of the secondary characters. You remember Rita’s rabble of course, the collection of oddball creatures who served as her courtiers. Well get ready to meet Goldar all over again! (more…)

Thus far, everything that the Power Rangers movie has done for promotion has worked wonderfully. The last big piece of news regarding the movie was the casting of Bryan Cranston as their mentor, Zordon. At San Diego Comic Con, fans were treated with up-close samples of their helmets and power coins. Before that were action shots of Rita (Elizabeth Banks) and Trini (Becky G), as well as all five of them in their Power Ranger suits. And now, earlier today, posters were revealed which featured each Ranger on top of their Zords, something that many people were wondering would look like. Check them out after the jump.
