Spider-Man: Far From Home finally delivers a trailer that fans have been salivating for. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has quickly become a fan favorite, nailing the witty quips, the ‘dope with a heart of gold’ attitude, and intellect that fans have come to expect from Peter Parker. And he does it while being damned charming. Fans had lots of speculation about the second installment of the Sony-MCU franchise, after the events of Infinity War. Have any of those speculations been laid to rest? And how does a wacky villain like Mysterio translate to the big screen?

While X-Box players can only pout and play other games while pretending they don’t dare, PS4 players are spending their weekend playing the new Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games. Injustice 2

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment have just released a brand-new announce trailer for the ‘Injustice 2‘ video game, the highly-anticipated sequel to ‘Injustice: Gods Among Us.’  Injustice 2, developed by publisher NetherRealm Studios (Mortal Kombat franchise), will feature a massive roster of DC Superheroes and Villains that players can “build and power up.” (more…)

In a galaxy far, far away in 1992, I rented a game from Blockbuster called Super Star Wars for the SNES. And it was one of the best games I played during my childhood. Hopefully, it was also one of your best memories. This game seemed to have it all, and more. In fact, it had more than I remembered because when I looked up some game play to remind myself what the game was all about, there were levels I didn’t remember playing. The ones I do remember, though, brought back all those feelings of fun, excitement, and utter frustration. Feelings I can’t wait to relive when the games gets re-released this week on PS4 and PS Vita.

God of war

There were many who left the PlayStation Experience’s Keynote on Saturday feeling slightly underwhelmed due to lack of any announcement (or any footage for that matter), of the PlayStation mainstay, God of War. The action/adventure video game series, loosely based on Greek mythology – which debuted in 2005  – has became a flagship title for the PlayStation brand, comprising seven games across multiple platforms (a trilogy and prequel – God of War I, II, III, and Ascention) and were developed by Sony‘s Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. However, we have yet to see a release of the monolithic and “beastly” franchise on the Playstation 4. Well folks, it appears Capcom have suffered a double whammy of school boy errors today, what – with the leak of their Street Fighter V trailer, and the major blow (or a baku hadoken in this case) that the game is going to be an exclusive to the PS4 and PCNeoGAF user Unlucky Kate reported that a YouTube clip – since been taken down by Capcom – revealed the new title and the exclusivity rights. However, it’s still unclear if the trailer appeared on Capcom‘s website or whether it was, in fact, a straight out leak. (more…)

The game will be released across most platforms – PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC – in 2015, but the general public and the media will get to sample the goods next week at E3. As a taste of things to come, the studio has released today a teaser trailer featuring an epic rematch between Sub Zero and Scorpion. Are you ready to take your first look at the game? Of course, you are. (more…)

With the next-gen consoles we’ve been hearing so much about coming out so soon, it’s time to take a closer look at the Playstation 4 vs. the Xbox One. However, every time the two new gaming consoles are compared, people seem to come to the same conclusion: it’s a toss-up! The fact is, these devices have nearly identical specs and capabilities, and in terms of sales, they’ll probably break even according to loyalty. As in, those who are familiar with Xbox 360 will purchase Xbox One, and those who prefer PS3 will opt for the PS4. But here’s a quick overview of the specs and features. These are deets that are out there and most gamers have become familiar with. We felt, however, another run down couldn’t hurt. Ought to be helpful to those casual gamers who haven’t followed along with the rest of us. Especially with the holiday season upon us, you gotta start weighing in on what might be the better buy.

9-21 week in gamingIt’s not surprising that we are in the midst of the most exciting season in gaming in a long time. It’s fall, and with the holidays closing in, just about every blockbuster release is going to be hitting stores in the next few months. This year, however, seems to be a bit special, bigger than ever before, as Sony and Microsoft have their consoles release dates just around the corner, and the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are surely looking to reshape the landscape of video games and entertainment. I’m not sure we could’ve picked a better time to introduce this weekly video game feature, as we’ve undoubtedly just witnessed one of the most epic weeks in video games, with the release of the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 5. But, that’s not all; there’s plenty more that happened this week in the wonderful world of video games that YOU need to know! (more…)
