We’ve all hoped for more Firefly goodness over the years. We’ve all thought that the idea of a shiny online game would be absolutely epic. We all refuse to let the Browncoat love die.
Fox has answered the call and is releasing a Firefly Online game. However, it’s going to be a “multi-user, social online role-playing game”. Yes, you read that correctly. It’s a gorram MUSORPG (or whatever) for Android and iOS.
So, so, so not shiny. While it’s entirely possible that the game would be executed well and the fandom would warm up to it, because all things are possible in the ‘Verse, it’s definitely getting a lukewarm reception right now.
