Welcome gaming bastards to another edition of G.R.O.W. This is NerdBastards weekly video game release list where we give y’all a heads up on what was released for the consoles and PC (and sometimes the MAC). We also cover downloadable titles as well.
Nintendo is giving gamers the chance to catch ’em all (649 of them now) again this coming Sunday while EA Sports is releasing their first ever M rated sports title today. Also, that game that has a commercial that says “we’re not in Azeroth anymore” comes out today as well.
After that, the downloadable side sees quite the release this week and I’ve decided to write it all out after the jump instead of just linking the trailer to the title. So click the jump button to see what game is receiving some single player DLC and two classic titles that are being brought back to make some cult fans happy.
So what are y’all waiting for? Check after the jump to see if there is anything coming out that will make your wallets cry!
The Super Bowl is always filled with exciting moments, amazing feats and big laughs.
Of course, I’m just talking about the commercials … does anyone actually watch it for the football anymore?
The Hollywood Reporter has gotten it’s hands on the complete list of movie trailers that will air interspersed among The Super Bowl‘s bread and butter – commercials for boner pills and soda. The list is massive and looks like it’s going to be a hell of a lot of fun.
Click below the jump to find out which movies will have trailers shown during The Super Bowl on February 6.
Also, late last night, /Film got an exclusive with X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn on how he felt about the “leaked” cast photo that appeared on the web some time ago. Long story short, Vaughn did not like the image as it looked like it was photoshop and as far he knows, it is not an official image from FOX.
To make it up for the fans and show that he is doing what he can and is not “bastardizing” the X-Men franchise, he revealed two photos. One photo has Michael Fassbender as Magneto, wearing the trademark helmet that I believe fans will approve of and the other image show James McAvoy as Professor X. Both images are available after the jump.
The CGI movie Rango appears to be very interesting.
First off, it is directed by Gore Verbinski (director of The Pirates of the Caribbean) and stars Johnny Depp, Alanna Ubach, Abigail Breslin, Isla Fisher and Alfred Molina.
The plot, for which we finally now a little something about thanks to the trailer embedded below, revolves around a chameleon who is left in the desert and pretends to be a famous gunslinger, ultimately becoming the sheriff of a dusty ol’ town.
If this trailer is any indication, this movie is going to be amazing!
Only one question remains though … what’s with the orange wind-up fish toy?
