This is it! The day you’ve all been waiting for! Somewhere in Vancouver, on this very day, they have begun production on the all new, rebooted, big screen Power Rangers movie! After months of teasing, casting announcements of people we’ve never heard of, and the fake-out of the Joseph Khan R-rated Power Rangers no one knew they wanted, Power Rangers will soon be a reality. There’s still a full-year before we will be able to see these Rangers in theaters, but today, not only do we have a press release announcing the start of production, and a plot synopsis, we also have a candid photo of the new Rangers hanging out. John Semper Jr., the guy behind the 90’s Spider-Man: The Animated Series, wanted everyone to know that there a Captain America animated series that almost made it as well. We all loved the Spider-Man and X-Men cartoons from the 90’s, there was some really good story telling in those series. I would have liked to see this Captain America series set in World War II. Heck, I’d like to see that series now., but I guess I’ll just have to settle for the promo video that Saban put together to sell the show. (more…)


Unless you’re Amish, live in a cave without WiFi, or were lost at sea the last couple of days, you might have an acceptable reason for not watching the Power Rangers fan film Power/Ranger that swept the Internet earlier this week. The darker, highly polished, and much more mature look at the Power Rangers had many folks clamoring for more. Of course everyone wanted to know what the original Power Rangers thought about the fan film, and three have made comments or posts. More importantly, Saban, holder of the Power Ranger rights have taken a dim view of this particular Power Rangers fan film and turned all their legal might toward removing the film first from Vimeo (The NSFW boobie version), and then, (The totally safe for anywhere version) from YouTube.
