Sharktopus

You know what, kids? In another year it will be 2015, and I don’t know about you, but I ain’t got no flying car or hover board. My local diner still has a human wait staff and I don’t have a fax machine in every room of my house (let alone the closets). Heck, my ties till has only a single knot in it! Frankly, I don’t know if we can take another hit in our belief that Back to the Future Part II was a prophetic work, but an internet fan has pointed out even more reason to be concerned. (more…)

Sharktopus

Welcome bastards to another installment of NerdBastards’ weekly DVD Tuesday feature. We list what came out today and recommend if it’s either a BUY, RENT, or PASS.

We got another lite edition on our hands as this week we only see a few releases but they are all still worth checking out. We got two major film releases that may interest some of you. After that, we got one TV Show DVD release that has to do with a cartoon series of a certain caped crusader teaming up with other heroes. Also, this week we see the return of the Hidden Gem (or Crap) of the Week with a certain Syfy flick that already has quite the fanbase so check it out and see if you’ll become the newest fan of this damming creature.

So what are you waiting for? Check what came out after the jump and see if there is something you want!

Sharktopus Trailer is Pure Awesome

sharktopus3

NOTE: This is an artist rendering, and not what the actual creature looks like. But, it IS similar.

Half shark. Half octopus. All killer.

I for one have never heard a more ridiculous premise for a movie in my entire life, and as a scientist myself, the possibility just boggles my mind. And yet, the trailer for this upcoming movie from SyFy Channel just sucks you in and makes you believe (in all its campy glory), that a sharktopus could really exist.

Could such a creature ever actually be created? Not likely.

Is it borderline ridiculous? Oh, absolutely.

Will I watch it after seeing this trailer? You better believe it!

Watch the trailer below. You’ll be glad you did.
