Sienna Guillory

Resident Evil: Retribution, starring Milla Jovovic‘s ass, is the 5th and final movie in the Resident Evil franchise. And thank god for that. If  Paul W.S. Anderson made another one of these gawd awful movies, I’d, well, I dunno what I’d do. All I know is I would be very mad about it.

It’s rant time…

The popularity of these films is beyond me. I mean come on, they don’t even honor the video game series from which they’re  based. Anderson took the names of characters and a few recognizable monstrosities and did whatever the hell he wanted. It’s like “oh, lets make Alice a super hero and make hundreds of leather-clad clones of her. And, lets shoot a whole bunch of slow-mo scenes in the rain. Yeah, fans will love that!”  Also,  IMO, Anderson didn’t even make movie. Every flick in the franchise, so far, has been nothing but a hyper stylized music video, with dazzling fight scenes timed with some butt-rock anthem. I’m not asking for a Oscar-worthy screen play or anything, but give me a decent story with characters and motivations I actually care about.  Amirite?

OK, enough of my gibber-jabber.  For those that care, Screen Gems has released two new TV spots for Resident Evil: Retribution.

The movie stars Milla Jovovich, Michelle Rodriguez, Sienna Guillory, Kevin Durand, Shawn Roberts, Colin Salmon, Johann Urb, Boris Kodjoe and Li Bingbing.

Synopsis:

The Umbrella Corporation’s deadly T-virus continues to ravage the Earth, transforming the global population into legions of the flesh eating Undead. The human race’s last and only hope, ALICE (Milla Jovovich), awakens in the heart of Umbrella’s most clandestine operations facility and unveils more of her mysterious past as she delves further into the complex. Without a safe haven, Alice continues to hunt those responsible for the outbreak; a chase that takes her from Tokyo to New York, Washington, D.C. and Moscow, culminating in a mind-blowing revelation that will force her to rethink everything that she once thought to be true. Aided by newfound allies and familiar friends, Alice must fight to survive long enough to escape a hostile world on the brink of oblivion. The countdown has begun.

RER will hit theaters September 14th, 2012

Resident Evil: Retribution, staring Milla Jovovich’s ass, is the 5th film in the RE film franchise. Oi! 5 horrible, light your genitals on fire, bad films.I really don’t get why this franchise has succeeded beyond two films. The last flickResident Evil Afterlife, was by far the worst. All style and no substance. Awful dialogue, and embarrassingly simplistic storytelling. Retards shot out of a canon with paint brushes in hand could paint a better picture than director Paul W.S. Anderson. Suffice to say, these movies blow and are nothing like the games they are based on.

Regardless, Resident Evil: Retribution is on it’s way. Sony’s Screen Gems has released the official synopsis for film. Enjoy.

The wildly successful film franchise adaptation that has grossed nearly $700 million worldwide to the popular video game series, “Resident Evil,” returns in its highly anticipated fifth installment, “Resident Evil: Retribution” in state-of-the art 3D.

You didn’t ask for it, but it’s happening anyway. The newly titled Resident Evil: Retribution is set to shoot this coming October.

Though she’s yet to formally sign on, Milla Jovovich is expected to star in the film along with the already confirmed Sienna Guillory. Paul W.S. Anderson is working on a script, which could mean he will direct.

Plot details are under tight lips, but Sony Screen Gems is aiming to have it in theaters come September 14, 2012. An October start date would ensure this.

*makes repeated hand farting noises*.  Resident Evil Afterlife (4th in the series) was terrible. It was all style and no substance. Awful dialogue, and embarrassingly simplistic storytelling. It was just pubescent eye candy. Slo-mo decapitations and other forms of gory special effects. A 2 hour music video! Bah! I few-king hate that movie, as well as it’s two predecessor (First one.. I’ll admit I kinda dug.). Apparently a select few and I are alone in less sentiment, because Afterlife outgrossed every single other film in the franchise, including a huge $200 million plus overseas.

Oi! I can’t imagine what type of human being enjoyed Afterlife, the piece of shit it is, even as a “guilty pleasure.” You RE fan-boys are welcomed to disagree with my wishes to see more Resident Evil flicks, but this franchise can sniff my taint.

Bring back zombies (memba those) and another Milla Jovoich twat shot and then maybe I’ll see it.
