It’s getting ever closer to the October release of the highly anticipated Batman: Arkham City and like most games it comes with awesome pre-order surprises. When Rocksteady and Warner Bros. got together and decided to make a sequel to 2009’s Batman: Arkham Asylum they never expected the impact it would have. The game is already on it’s way to being more bat-tacular than the original and choosing which costume you want is going to be tough.

They all look awesome but I’d personally go for The Animated Series skin, that brings back some good memories. For those of you looking to get access to any of these costumes here’s the information on each one.

Because sexy vampires are soon to be out of fashion, and behind them sexy werewolves, what horror creature will take up the mantle of sexy, forbidden fruit? Zombies, duh. /Film reports today Skins actor (the superior British Skins, ’cause British originals are always superior) Nicholas Hoult will be playing the lead undead role in Jonathan Levine’s Warm Bodies, a zombie love story based on the novel of the same name by Isaac Marion. The book follows a zombie who begins a relationship with one of his victim’s girlfriends and is adapted from Marion’s short story, ‘I Am a Zombie Filled With Love.’ You can read the short story here.

Besides his role in Skins you may recognize Hoult as dorky, little Marcus from About A Boy with Hugh Grant as well as A Single Man with Colin Firth. We’ll be seeing much more of Hoult too; he’s playing Dr. Hank McCoy X-Men: First Class and the upcoming Jack the Giant Killer. Levine’s name should ring some bells too, he was the director of 2008’s The Wackness and his next film will be a comedy about cancer (Hilarious!), 50/50 starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anna Kendrick, Seth Rogen and Bryce Dallas Howard.

breathersI’m excited for romantic zombies, especially since they won’t be sparkling. It’ll be weird to have a zombie/human romance though. I mean, there will be hurdles, “I don’t love you for your body, I love you for you’re brain, you’re tasty, delicious brain. Om, nom, nom, nom.” I’ve read S.G. Browne’s Breathers: A Zombie Lament before, which I highly, highly recommend. It’s the love story between two zombies and with their similar, cultural, flesh-eating backgrounds they have much more in common . Breathers’ is supposedly being adapting for film as well, from Diablo Cody, which could mean this is the first of many zombie romances coming our way. But maybe I’m being old-fashioned in my scorn for human/zombie love. Warm Bodies might just be the flick to change my heart.

Warm Bodies begins production this summer, keep tuning in for more information. In the meantime you can watch the book’s trailer below the cut to get an idea of the tone and concept.
