spider-man 2

The blockbuster business doesn’t come easy, or cheap, and a new list shows us just how true that is. Now, one website has compiled a list of the most expensive films ever made, and chances are pretty good that one or many of your own personal favorites are on here. But who is the big winner? Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, of course. The third Pirates movie tips the bank at $341.8 million, but it’s not the only Pirates movie on the list, and it’s not the only Disney movie on the list either. Want to get a load of the other nine movies in the Top 10? Read on. (more…)

For many years now, the creation of a Marvel movie hasn’t been complete until Marvel guru Stan Lee has stepped in and made his cameo appearance.  So, naturally, he’ll be in front of the camera again for the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2.  And since some people are not content to just see where he ends up by watching the actual film, we decided to spoil it for you right here and now.  Look below to see Stan in all his glory.

The scene, in case you haven’t been keeping up with the weekly spoiler pics, is of Peter Parker’s graduation ceremony.  What Stan is doing there, however, remains to be seen, though he certainly seems to be intrigued by something off to the right.

Thanks to BleedingCool for the heads-up.

When I first heard that Paul Giamatti would be joining the cast of Marc Webb’s Amazing Spider-Man 2, I was intrigued.  When I heard that he was going to be taking on the role of super-large and super-mean villain The Rhino, I was incredulous.  I mean, Giamatti isn’t exactly a towering muscle of a man.  If anything, he’s quite the opposite.  So I, like others, have been awaiting some pics from the currently filming Spider-Man 2 to see how they’re going to pull this one off.  Finally, we have some.  Okay, so we have one.  And it doesn’t even show Giamatti in his Rhino suit.  It does show him looking pretty pissed-off though.  Check it out below:

And check out Amazing Spider-Man 2 when it hits theaters May 2nd, 2014.

UPDATE: New pics have been added. The gallery below involves Spidey on top a semi truck with Pault Giamatti’s Aleksei Sysvich behind the wheel.

As filming continues on Marc Webb‘s Amazing Spider-man 2, the first official images from filming have made their way out from Columbia Pictures. With people having already seen Jamie Foxx‘s Electro, with his blue skin and bald head, Webb decided it was time to show off the powerless scientist Max Dillon with the caption “Day 52. My name is Max.” A far cry from the Navi-skinned person we saw previously, Foxx is much more nerd than Peter Parker ever looked.

Check out the first look after the jump.

A lot of people have been disapproving of Foxx’s look, but they must realize this is a movie and there are make-up departments that specialize in making someone look different. Jamie himself has described Max as a “nobody” so it fits his character has to look the part. You can’t expect him to be all groomed and professional like Harry Osborn, after all. Speaking of which, not long after Webb tweeted his picture Dane DeHaan released a first look at this franchise’s Harry and thankfully he’s no James Franco.

Dane certainly looks like someone who’s the successor of Oscorp and if you’ve seen Chronicle you know how evil he can be on screen. He might finally be the Harry Osborn we’ve wanted for a long time. Now we just need to see Paul Giamatti and we’re all set.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2, starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giamatti, Colm Feore, Chris Cooper, Sally Field, and Felicity Jones is slated for theaters May 2nd, 2014.

And now, we here at Nerd Bastards bring you some more teasers to wet your appetite for the upcoming barrage of super hero flicks.  This time around, we have Bryan Singer tweeting a ridiculous teaser for X-Men: Days of Future Past, along with some new set pics from the upcoming Wolverine and Spider-Man 2 flicks.  Check it all out after the jump.

Marc Webb is currently in the middle of filming his sequel to The Amazing Spider-Man and, as has become a habit with this guy, he loves to tease the hell out of things with little bite-sized pics of what’s going down on set.  Whether he’s trying to drive us insane or is just playing the marketing game is TBD, but it does seem like we get something almost daily from him.

This time around, a not-so-exciting picture of actor Colm Feore, who will be playing… okay, so we don’t know who the hell he’s playing.  But here’s the picture anyways:

At first glance he looks like a suit of some sort.  And there he is staring at… something.  Thanks again, Marc Webb, for a shot of virtually nothing!

Check out Amazing Spider-Man 2 when it comes to theaters on May 2nd, 2014.

Despite what you may have heard, there are some of us that weren’t completely upset with Marc Webb’s latest Spider-Man reboot.  In fact, there are quite a few folks out there looking for some news concerning the upcoming 2014 sequel.  We already know that Electro (Jamie Foxx) will be the main villain and that Paul Giamatti is supposedly playing the Rhino.  We also know that Mary Jane and Harry Osborn will be showing their faces.  Now, there may even be some potential Black Cat casting.  In addition, Webb teased a tiny taste of the changes they’ll be making to Spidey’s costume.  Check it all out after the jump.
