Caprica's Zoe rocks it as Slave Leia in geek-dream music video

Tonight I’m frakking you. That’s my pick-up line. It never works. Of course, if I was Alessandra Torressani of Caprica and said that, there would be a lot of bent wookies, if you know what I mean.

OK kids, gonna keep this real short. Scifi Music Spoof Video. Torressani in Slave Leia Costume. Rapping from Big Bang Theory‘s Raj. More Nerd Pop Culture References and Cameos Than You Can Shake a Stick At. Or, as break.com likes to put it “A geek fantasy comes to life when one lucky nerd finds himself in Sci-fi’s hottest nightclub with every girl you’d ever want to frak.”

Memba that God of War Indie Movie Trailer done in a style reminiscent of Wes Anderson? Well, if you thought that was wistfully bemusing, then you need to see Gamervision‘s latest ‘What If?’ video.  Off the cusp of their Star Wars Christmas Special (the special everyone really wanted), the funny bastards at Gamervision wondered what a live-action adaptation of the popular Nintendo video game The Legend of Zelda would be like if it was made in the 80’s, John Hughes style.

In this charming critically-acclaimed tale of first love, Link (Jon Tomlinson), an eternal optimist and adventurer, seeks to capture the heart of Zelda, an unattainable high school beauty and straight-A student (Zane Bauer). He surprises just about everyone-including himself-when she returns the sentiment. But the high school’s over-possessive, megalomaniacal Principal Ganondorf (Dominic Moschitti) doesn’t approve and it’s going to take more than just the power of love to conquer all. Perfectly capturing the essence of what it means to be a teenager in the 80s, Nick Murphy, Mike Sadorf, and Dom Moschitti reimagine one of the most celebrated video game franchises of all time with the heart, charm, and wit that only they could. It’s the legend of high school. It’s the legend of love. It’s The Legend of Zelda.

Channeling the days of sequined gloves, parachute pants, Judd Nelson and Molly Ringwald, this faux trailer certainly tickles my 80’s sensibilities. The references get me all nostalgic and the concept I like.

Spoofing video-games through film while mocking a director and or era style  is entertaining in every way possible. Whole films based on this concept would probably fair a hell of a lot better than any of the direct adaptation we’ve been subject to.

[Editors Note: I’ve written 3 paragraphs more than I needed to. So, in short- There will be a Reservoir Dogs porn. That is all.]

Us nerdbastards sure love porn. We love it like a fat guy likes cake. Now, when pornos make their way into the nerd medium by parodying pop culture with titles like Batman: A XXX Parody, The Sex Files, This Ain’t Avatar XXX that just makes us shoot massive, white, ropey wads of nerd splooge (Enough to give Spider-Man a run for his money.).  Some naysayers are complaining that there is just too many goddamn titles coming out. Ya got a Hulk parody, Avengers, Justice League, Superman, Wonder Woman, Star Wars…etc. Could it be becoming too much of a good thing? Too much porn? Never! Never, I tell you!

Adding to the library of greatest porno ideas ever comes (I’m throwing the word “come” around an awful lot) a parody to rule them all. AVN reports [link definitely not safe for work] that Exquisite Films, the same company that just did a porno Justice League film, is working on an “upscale, mature parody of Quentin Tarantino’s cult classic. Reservoir Dogs” Yes my horny nerd brethren a motha fuckin’ Reservoir Dogs porno will be in our grasps. If you’re like “Wha? Why is that a good idea?” may we remind you of the very raunchy dick talk in the films opening sequence? That dialog alone is reason to grant the idea of a Reservoir Dogs porn. After the first ten minutes, why watch the rest of the movie? Just think of the hilarity that will ensue when they go to porno-fy certain sequences in the film. Like what gets cut off, if not an ear? How are they gonna handle that? Do we even want to know…lol? Mr. Orange bleeding all over the back seat of Mr. White’s car also comes to mind.

Now, here’s the kicker. This son’ bitch is planned to be 3 hours long. I guess when you try to make a sex flick out of 99-minutes of dialogue then it’s run time is unavoidable, that is if you wish to capture the story and essence of the flick. But, 3 hours? Motha’ fuck, I can’t make it passed 30 minutes in any porn. Fuck, I’m lucky if I get passed 30 seconds (those quick, flashy trailers of other porn titles do me in every time.).

That cast includes Chanel Preston as Ms. Orange, Andy San Dimas as Ms White, Lizzy Borden as Ms. Blonde, Kimberly Kane as Ms. Pink and Raylene as Nice Girl Eddie.

It’s on my illegally download wish list.

You’re familiar with the youtube video series “Hi,  I’m a Marvel… and I’m a DC”, right? If you’re not then what dark corner of Internet have you been hiding? It’s a popular fan film series (like 6 million plus views kinda popular) on that video orgy site we call youtube, created by ItsJustSomeRandomGuy and his girlfriend, who goes by ItsJustSomeRandomGirl. The videos which parody the “I’m PC and I’m Mac” commercials from Apple feature action figure versions of popular Marvel and DC comic characters who deal with the success and failures of their respective movies and comics. All of course in the most debaucherous, dramatic and hilarious ways possible. JustSomeRandomGuy is a freaking genius. He shows what moderate video editing skills and a lot of creativity can yield. OK, enough with the preemptive premise shit. You should know this stuff, geeze!

Anyway, what happens when Batman and Iron Man get together to discuss sequels and comic book continuity? Well, an all singing, all dancing 100th episode spectacular, that’s what! 100 episodes. Did you hear that? 100 videos and he’s still got it! He never ceases to bring the funny.

Happy 100th ItsJustSomeRandomGuy. Will keep watchin em if you keep makin em.
