If Dana Saint‘s friends were going to throw him a bachelor party, then they damn well were going to throw him the greatest bachelor party they could. Saint, who is a huge Rambo fan was blissfully unaware that his friends had put together “Rambo Day.” A day for him that he’d never forget. (more…)
This international fan site for Karl Urban has posted an animated GIF that shows actual footage from the upcoming movie. It’s pretty short but really shows the something that could spell out the violent tone of the movie. If your a Judge Dredd Comic book fan then you know that graphic violence is part of the joy that is Dredd. After Stallone’s mutilation of the franchise this NerdBastard is hoping that Urban and company can really pull this off. Dredd deserves a good treatment.
DREDD takes us to the wild streets of Mega City One, the lone oasis of quasi-civilization on Cursed Earth. Judge Dredd (Karl Urban) is the most feared of elite Street Judges, with the power to enforce the law, sentence offenders and execute them on the spot – if necessary. The endlessly inventive mind of writer Alex Garland and the frenetic vision of director Peter Travis bring DREDD to life as a futuristic neo-noir action film that returns the celebrated character to the dark, visceral incarnation from John Wagner and Carlos Ezquerra’s revered comic strip.
Dredd stars Karl Urban ( Star Trek), Olivia Thirlby (Juno), and Lena Headey (Game of Thrones). The film opens in 3D September 21st.
Slowed Down Clip
What do you think of this clip of “Street Justice” that Judge Dredd and company are serving out? Was the guy double parked, or maybe he didn’t curb his dog. Tell NerdBastards what crime you think he committed in the comments section below.

Lots of films didn’t make the cut for this list for the following reasons: 1. Certain directors and movies are too well-known and obvious to spend time recommending. 2. Some movies don’t need to be recommended to sci-fi nerds, horror freaks or pop-culture afficionados of any particular decade. 3. These vary on the obscurity scale, but they’re all beloved to this writer’s heart and colossally riveted into my psyche….and 4. There are only twelve spots on this list, so by all means use the comments section to make your Must-See Top 12 Films known.
