Nintendo 3DS News & Game Videos

So Nintendo held it’s Nintendo World event and usually I cover those events but with school starting up again I’ve been busy setting up my graduation for this semester and playing video games, the event slipped from my radar. But I’m here to make it up as we got some news about Nintendo’s upcoming handheld device and some videos of 3DS games.

First off, we learn about the battery life of the 3DS and the internet bitches as it’ll have 3-5 hour battery life when it comes to playing 3D game. It does, however, have a 5-8 hour battery life when it comes to playing regular DS games and it takes about 3 hours to charge the little machine. Coming from the company that has “made fun” of the PSP with it’s battery life, I guess having better graphics means using more juice. At least it comes with a stand for you to charge it on.

While this is all about the Japanese release of the 3DS, we did learn that the launch titles for the Feb. 26 release will be: Pro Evolution Soccer 3DS, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Samurai Warriors: Chronicles, Nintendogs + Cats, Ridge Racer 3D, Combat of Giants: Dinosaur Strike, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, and Tobidasu! 3D Puzzle. It’s safe to assume that like the DSi games, the 3DS games will probably be region locked (boo!).

After the jump, you can check out videos for the following games: Kid Icarus: Uprising, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil: Revelations, Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition, Paper Mario 3DS, Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle, and Dead or Alive: Dimensions (3D BOOBS!). And while writing this, we got off-screen footage of Star Fox 64 3D and Mario Kart 3D, so check those out along with the 3DS overview video.
