Star Wars Celebration
Star Wars Rebels has become a fan favorite show among the legion of Star Wars fans. The show largely filled the gap that was left after the cancellation of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (which was rushed off air so quickly the final season became a Netflix exclusive). The show is comprised of largely the same team, following the same art style who have actually managed to close a few plot threads from the other show—however, while Clone Wars followed young Jedi padawan Ahsoka Tano and her master Anakin Skywalker between the Episode II and III films, the new series is set years later, showing the formation of the early Rebel alliance pre-Episode IV.
Now we have our first look at Star Wars Rebels Season 4, which promises to once again prove that some of the best Star Wars stuff happens outside of the movies. (more…)
There’s going to be a lot of Star Wars news the next couple of days, and this is one of the first items to come out of this four-day long Star Wars news orgy called Celebration. The event got underway in Orlando this morning, and although the news everyone wants to get is the long-awaited release of the trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, there’s going to be a lot of smaller news too. To wit, a series of 16 shorts called Star Wars: Forces For Destiny which will give the spotlight to many of the franchise’s female heroes. (more…)
Missing Out On All The Star Wars Celebration Fun? You Can Live Vicariously Through Disney’s Live-Stream
Outside of a new film release, the biggest thing to happen for a Star Wars fan is happening now. That thing, is Star Wars Celebration. A semi-annual 3-day convention that, well, celebrates Star Wars. But it’s more than just haven for autographs and photo ops (and the occasional naked guy that runs through your hotel room wearing nothing but a Stormtrooper helmet. Yes, that happened to us). The event, which starts today in Orlando and runs through Sunday, is also a prime source for new footage of upcoming movies and, television series, as well other Star Wars related announcements.

Star Wars Celebration is the place to be for Star Wars fans, a roving annual gather of all things related to a galaxy far, far away including novels, toys, video games, comic books and animated series, as well as, more recently, any and all Star Wars film news. Just not in 2018 though. Yes, even though the 2017 event has yet to begin (that’s next month), the organizers of Celebration have announced that 2018 will be a skip year for the four-day event. So Star Warriors are going to have to party very hardy in Orlando in April to get two years worthy of nerdy goodness. (more…)
