The Starz series Ash Vs Evil Dead was a surprise delight in its first season, a wonderfully funny and gory continuation of The Evil Dead legend birthed by co-creator Sam Raimi in his classic independent horror 35 years ago. Still, in all our questions about Deadite slayer Ashley “Ash” Williams, played by Bruce Campbell, rarely has anyone pondered over who might have spawned such a hero. It looks like season two of Evil Dead will answer that by introducing Ash’s dad. That’s a fine casting needle the show will have to thread, but they’ve done it. After all, who else could be Ash’s father but the Six Million Dollar Man, Lee Majors? (more…)
This past August, Evil Dead and Burn Notice star, Bruce Campbell tweeted he would be in Sami Raimi‘s adaptaion of The Wizard of Oz. In his original tweet he said: “I. Am. In. Oz. Sam refuses to tell me what character I will portray. Just know that the role is pivotal.” Apparently, his cameo in OZ: The Great and The Powerful wasn’t as pivitol as he thought, as it has been cut from the film.
You’d think the chin killa’ would be a bit hurt over the loss of his scene, but he’s a good sport about it. Here’s his latest tweet:
Guess being friends with Raimi, not to mention being a cameo in all 3 of his Spider-man movies means jack and shit. I’d expect this sort of thing to happen to Sam’s little brother Ted Raimi, but not Brucey.

Hey, y’all remember when we said that Bruce Campbell would be sticking his chin out to the un-dead by officiating a Zombie wedding to one lucky couple at ZomBCon (the outrageously zombie themed convention)? Well it happened, and our friends at Geekscape got it on video. While the actual ceremony of ghoulish couples was not captured they managed to snag the mass vow renewal ceremony that was for all the other wedded zombies in attendance.
This confirms it, Bruce Campbell is one of the greatest men alive. I don’t think I’ll ever get married now, since any other wedding will feel slightly less than awesome compared to this.
Congratulations for the happy zombie couple. May you be in love till the day you are shotgunned in the face.
