British actor and nerd luminary Martin Freeman, known best for his work in The Hobbit, Sherlock, The World’s End, and The Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy, has been cast as Lester Nygaard in the upcoming tv miniseries based on the Coen Brothers’ 1996 film classic Fargo.
The role is apparently analogous to William H. Macy’s character: Jerry Lundegaard–the pathetic, amoral car salesman who hired kidnappers to abduct his wife in order to pay off his debts with the ransom money paid by his wealthy father-in-law (if you remember…..great movie).
Now here’s an interview from someone that we haven’t seen in a while, Tara Motherfuckin’ Reid! Recently, at a charity event to help prevent and gain knowledge on human trafficking, Reid was interviewed about the event as well as what she will be working on next. She mentioned a few small projects, but on a larger scale she mentioned an American Pie 4 as well as The Big Lebowski 2! I did a little research and found out that American Pie is definitely a go! The plot about a “family reunion” matched up with what Reid said and any chance to see that whole crew back together is priceless! I mean, does it get any better than Alyson Hannigan on the big screen and Stifler’s Mom jokes?!
As far as The Big Lebowski 2, there are only rumors floating around about this project being done. So who knows, maybe this is an attempt at an early marketing ploy to see if enough people would bite and be interested in a second film. What do you guys think?? Are you interested in seeing Reid reprise her role as Bunny Lebowski in the Coen brothers’ comedy about a ‘Dude’ and his family??
