Congratulations! You made it to the end of the year 2015. You’ve survived three years longer than the Mayans said that you would, and as your reward, you are treated to one Best or Worst of the Year list after the other. So welcome again to our annual compendium of the Top 10 Nerdy TV shows.

How was the year for sci-fi, fantasy, and horror fiction on TV? In a word, excellent. As these things go, a new name has risen to the stack of 8x10s in the latest report on the casting process for Supergirl, and if you’re a regular viewer of shows on The CW (where Supergirl’s heroic colleagues Arrow and The Flash currently reside on TV), then you might be familiar with this new actress who’s reportedly in mind to play the Girl of Steel. The final network to announce its fall schedule, The CW, made their move this morning by announcing as few moves as possible. Chances are, if you like The CW’s schedule how it is right now, you will be 60 per cent pleased with how it will look in the fall. Small moves happen on Monday and Tuesday as the netlet benches two returning shows and two new series till midseason and premiering two shows in the fall, including its highly anticipated new superhero show.
