The Russo Brothers

It was recently announced that the Russo Brothers (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) signed with Sony Pictures. Once finished with Captain America threequel, Captain America: Civil War, it was assumed the dynamic duo would be tackling a new Spider-Man film for Sony. So radically wrong is that assessment. The film that they’re actually being eyed for… is a male counterpart Paul Feig’s female-centric Ghostbusters. Drew Pierce  (Iron Man 3) is set to write, with Channing Tatum to produce and co-star.  (more…)

Who will direct the two-part conclusion to our live-action saga starring Earth’s Mightiest Heroes? Last I heard, ‘Winter Soldier’s’ the Russo Brothers were at least helming part 1 of ‘Avengers: Infinity War.’ Suddenly, that doesn’t seem to be the case, as there are new questions about Joss Whedon returning. Questions so tough that he had to cross legs with Empire Magazine for a little chit chat about this and that, and oh yeah…dude, are you directing these movies or what? The very spoiler-y folks at Badass Digest seem to have gotten their hands on a script for ‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron.’ It concerns a possible movie roster change of the famous superhero group. In the comics, this was something the Avengers did pretty routinely. Makes sense that they’d address it in the films. This is an exciting concept that’s bound to ruffle some feathers. And something this big wasn’t thought up all willy nilly. It’s one of those grand plans Marvel bigwig Kevin Feige spoke of awhile back. Here’s the thing – if this info stays as part of the plan, who on the team stays and who goes? I have some ideas and I’m going to speculate about them. But Badass Digest says there’s one hero who’s a lock. And it’s someone we have yet to see on screen. Let the SPOILERS fly! (more…)
