M. Night Shyamalan‘s Tales From the Crypt reboot comes back from an early grave, but don’t get too excited yet, it may not have long on this TV earth.  Reports have been circulating that  the TNT series, which received the green light and a 10 episode order was in danger due to budget issues. It’s unclear if that’s a real problem, as now another issue has reared it’s head…rights issues. While TNT insists that the anthology series is still moving forward; it seems to be running into more and more roadblocks by the month.  Will Tales from the Crypt Reboot ring in the new year or finally be laid to rest six feet under? Let The Right One In

Not long ago pop culture was in a vampire rage. Thanks to Twilight, we couldn’t get enough of vampire love stories. The film series based on Stephenie Meyer’s books Grossed more than $3 billion collectively. Then came True Blood on HBO based on The Southern Vampire Mysteries by author Charlaine Harris. That series gave us 6 successful seasons on HBO. Recently we have The Strain on FX, which was a much darker, grittier vampire story based on the book trilogy by Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. While The Strain is still on the air, we haven’t heard much in the vampire territory for a little while, until now.

Once there was a dream – a dream of the much-loved Teen Titans coming to a television channel known as TNT. And then that dream collapsed… TNT decided to dump the idea and those of us who would love to see such iconic DC characters as Nightwing, Starfire and Raven in live-action were left wanting. But there is, just maybe, a light at the end of the tunnel. It appears as if DC hasn’t given up yet. It’s almost as if DC Comics and their parent studio Warner Bros. are ceding movie screens to Marvel Studios because today comes word of yet another DC-based TV project. Following quickly on the heels of the announcement of a Supergirl series being in development, and coming in advance of the premiere of four new DC Comics-based series and the third season premiere of Arrow, comes news that the Teen Titans might also be coming to TV screens everywhere. A pilot called Titans, which is based on the long-running superhero team that first appeared in the 1960s, is being developed for TNT, and if they like what they see, it could lead to an ongoing series about the team.
