Tokyo Game Show

Hey gaming nerds, this shitty hand-cam footage, from the Tokyo Game Show,  is actually the new One Piece video game.

Cripes, that video quality shit. Whoever shot this, is clearly the one person left on the planet who doesn’t have and HD camera. Eh, at least he/she kept the camera steady.  Typically, in these kinds of cell-phone boot legs, there’s more hand bouncing than at game of Jenga at Michael J. Fox’s house. So… thank god for that.

Regardess, this is by far one of the flashiest games seen all year. Taking a queue from massive melee combat hit Dynasty Warriors, this game gives you endless streams of baddies to fight, all while blending it that weird/ “what the f@$#!” factor only Japan can deliver. I imagine it will please One Piece fans everywhere.

TGS 2010: Trailers Galore Part 2

Sony and Microsoft has their press conferences and both showed quite the games with Microsoft’s focusing more on Kinect games that i being worked on by Japanese devs, such as a Steel Battalion: Heavy Armor Kinect game (remember how the game had a $100 controller that was ridiculous). Sony revealed that the PS3 will finally be able to play 3D movies via firmware update available Sept. 21st.  Also, they announced some games (Metal Gear Solid: Rising, Ico/Shadow of Colossus HD Collection) will be playable in 3D.

In other news, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 added two more female characters in the form of Tron Bonne (Mega Man Legends) and X-23. Anyway, check after the jump to look at some new trailers of games that were just announced and some game play video as well.

With just a couple months left to go until this bad larry is released, Square-Enix released a 7 minute long trailer for Final Fantasy XIII at the Tokyo Game Show. I’m not exactly sure if I’m watching a game or movie trailer, but it looks like it has a long and convoluted plot filled with love, heart-break, more silver-haired baddies (Again?), some hot librarian broad, and a lot of blonde people (again?! Stop that shit). I will say that the gameplay, which looks like there will be a lot of “mounted” special attacks (I saw two in that trailer, including a transformer!), looks great. Seems like this game heralds in a return to the older style Final Fantasy battle systems, even though I liked FFXII’s set up, which is definitely something a lot of fans suggested. All I can say is that I want to play this game. A lot. Preferably nude, with a lot of Pasta Bowls from Domino’s and a few 40’s of Private Stock. Thanks to Kotaku for enlightening me on this gorgeous piece of animation…
