Ladies, gentlemen and nerds of every class. Sometimes, something on the Internet comes along that just makes you so unbelievably entertained, that you cannot help but share it with the world. Just when you thought you’ve seen everything in the realm of video-mashups some cheeky bastard has gone and created the funniest, face raping video to rule them all. /Film reader Tyler S. presents a very simple idea. What if Arnold Schwarzenegger had voiced Darth Vader instead of James Earl Jones? WTF? What a genius thought, right? Tyler takes audio snippets from practically every Schwarznegger flick and splices them over the majority of the Dark Lord scenes in Star Wars. It is brilliant on so many levels. As far as I am concered Tyler S. has just won the internet.
Here at nerdbastards we love everything in nerd pop culture (obviously). So it makes sense that when someone mashes together two separate pop culture things to make something funny or in some cases better we go nuts over it. Just when we’ve thought we’ve seen everything some cheeky bastard (Katamaran78 on youtube) goes and makes our heads explode. With one of the coolest mash-ups we’ve ever seen: “Battlestar Galactica” set to the Beastie Boys‘ “Sabotage” with scenes cut to mirror the iconic ’90s/faux-’70’s music video (copied nearly shot by shot).
This video was so freaking cool, it will make any Battlestar fan want to watch the whole series all over again but perhaps skip the finale, nobody needs to watch that mess again.
What would you get if you put Star Wars and a few action adventure shows of the 80’s in a Jack LaLanne Power Juicer? Well, something that might not be entirely drinkable but yet all together, head exploding awesome and nutritious. What the hell am I babbling about? OK, lets say we take some clips from Star Wars, cut them together and play the theme song from the TV show MacGyver over it. Take a moment to think about what I just said. Has your head exploded yet? No? Well go ahead and check out the first video below and be prepared to clap your hands like a retard because thats exactly what some glorious bastards did. If McGuyver isn’t your fancy well then how about Dallas or Airwolf or perhaps the A-Team? (videos after the jump) I gurantee it will make you one happy nerd.
Let us tip our hats off to the unknown nerd from Star Wars the Old Republic fan site for a job well done. Thank you good sir, thank you! Now hurry up and get crack-a-lackin with the Star Wars Dukes of Hazards and Golden Girls mashups.
Aron Rosenthal’s created this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles/Reservoir Dogs mash-up over a year ago, but it has just begun to makes it’s rounds across the net. It’s a funny little glimpse as to ”What If’ Quentin Tarantino directed a movie about our favorite heroes in a half shell.
