DC’s Legends of Tomorrow‘ looks to be adding to their ensemble with the news that the character Vixen would appear on the series. Mari McCabe, portrayed by actress Megalyn Echikunwoke (above), was introduced last season on ‘Arrow.’ The¬†Detroit vigilante¬†imbued with the animalistic powers of a sacred totem was well-received on the show and with The CW‘s Berlanti-verse, where all their superhero shows (The Flash, Supergirl, and the previously two mentioned), it is easy for the character to transition to this different series. Unfortunately, due to scheduling and potential upcoming film projects, the actress seen previously won’t be the one used in the time-traveling show. (more…)

“I don’t know who you are. I don’t know what you want. If you’re looking for ransom, I can tell you I don’t have money… My fiance does! But I don’t anymore. What I do have are a very particular set of skills. Skills I have acquired over five years in hell, mostly on a weirdo island in the South China Sea. Skills that make me something else. If you let my son go now, that will be the end of it. Well, not the end of it because you’re still failing this city. But for sure if you don’t, I will look for you, I will find you… and I will kill you. Well not kill you because I don’t do that anymore. You know…” (more…)

Tonight, Legends of Tomorrow will debut on the CW, the epic new entry into the DC TV Universe that started with Arrow and continued with The Flash. But could Vixen, and voice actress Megalyn Echikunwoke crossover into the real world of Arrow and Flash? She will, and she has, and here’s the first photographic proof. (more…)

Sorry if I’m being intolerant, but with DC Comics being among the top two amazing comic book sellers and the legendary awesomeness of the Justice League Unlimited cartoon, if you don’t know who Vixen is, then you’re just not trying to be a good enough nerd. She has a long history of heroism and deserves a ton of respect for having an original power, being a great female hero, and for representing an underrepresented faction of the world of supers. She’s never been seen live action and she’s only had part-time cartoon love, but now we’re gonna see her in her very own project. The CW is putting her in their bastion of original series’ called CW Seed. Interested? (more…)

British-born actress Adaku Ononogbo has had a few uncredited roles in big films. You probably remember her as Muddy Waters’ Girlfriend in ‘Cadillac Records.’ Or Virgin Guard in ‘The Dictator.’ She’s also been featured in a couple independents, most specifically where she plays an ass-kicker in ‘Altruism.’ A quick look through her social media pages will prove to you that she takes her career seriously, working hard to climb that next rung on the ladder of success. Take her Twitter page, for instance. That’s where we found her bid for the as yet unannounced role of DC Comics heroine Vixen in the upcoming film ‘Suicide Squad.’ It’s a well-done photo of her mimicking a great shot of Vixen chillin’ with a lion. Check it out after the jump. (more…)
