If you’ve been watching The Walking Dead this season, you may have noticed a distinct lack of The Governor. And while many of us may not give a rat’s ass that he’s not around (let’s face it, he was getting kind of annoying), there are still the questions of where he went, whether or not he’s going to be back and exactly why he hasn’t been around. Now, Robert Kirkman has stepped forward to answer those questions. See what he had to say below. (more…)
walking dead season 4
Yes, tis the season for lots and lots of Walking Dead news. As we await the coming of October, those involved in the show are eager to whet our appetites and let us know some of what to expect. This time around, new showrunner Scott Gimple and several others answered a few questions about what to expect from season 4, why they do what they do and how things between the comics and the TV show grow separately. Check it all out after the jump (warning! potential spoilers!) (more…)
With season 4 of The Walking Dead fast approaching, it’s time for us to start hearing from Robert Kirkman. The man loves to throw out random videos and tease us with what the new season will bring and this time up is no exception. Check out a brief video of him wandering around the prison set, showing off the new set pieces and props.
And don’t forget to tune in to The Walking Dead season 4 when it hits the small screen come October 13th.
Thanks to blastr for the heads-up.
The wait for more Walking Dead news may be a long and hard one <insert crude joke here>, but we here at Nerd Bastards are dedicated to making sure that it gets to you just as soon as we track it down. On this fine day, we present you with the long-awaiting season 4 premiere date along with a fresh supply of zombie-centric girly clothes. Check it all out after the jump.
Season 4 of The Walking Dead is coming up in just a few months, and with its arrival comes the usual spread of marketing spam and teasers. Today, Nerd Bastards brings you the above-pictured promotional banner for season 4, as well as the title of the new season’s premiere episode.
As most know, The Walking Dead has a new face at the helm in the form of Scott M. Gimple. Taking over for Glen Mazzara, Gimple is responsible for what are widely regarded as the two best episodes from last season. And, naturally, the premiere for season 4 will be written by him. Titled ’30 Days Without An Incident’, it seems to suggest that Gimple may be giving the crew a break. Gods know they deserve it after all the shit-storm they had to deal with last season.
And as another site has seen fit to point out, there is no Governor on the new promotional, just a bunch of zombies. Coupled with this statement from one of the show’s producers…
We are going to amp up the threat of the walkers, because they’ve started to seem like a manageable threat. They are not a manageable threat.
…it looks like we may be getting a more zombie-centric story this time around, which would be okay in my book. Likely, more information will pop up at this year’s San Diego Comic Con, so look forward to that.
How do the people out in Nerdland feel about season 4? Hopeful? Fed up? Do you think Gimple will be able to bring us to new heights of (non-necropheliac) zombie ecstasy?
Keep in touch for more news and don’t forget to tune in when The Walking Dead returns in October.
Thanks to screenrant for the heads-up.
It may seem like a pretty simple thing, playing the part of a zombie on The Walking Dead, but those that get to don the rotten flesh make-up and take swipes at the show’s heroes have some serious training to do before they’re let on the set. Production for the fourth season of Walking Dead has just gotten underway and in order to remind us that October will bring more show, the folks over at the show have release the following zombie training video. Check out the extras as they get put through the paces of what makes a successful walker.
No doubt marketing will be feeding us stuff like this all summer, so check back in periodically with the crew at Nerd Bastards and see what new bright and shiny objects we have for you to play with.
Thanks to ComingSoon for the heads-up.
