Will Forte

For those that don’t know who “Tim and Eric” are the insane minds between Adult Swim’s Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job. A show comprised of shorts sketches that ran from 2007 to 2010, starring Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim (naturally) as a sequel to their previous show Tom Goes to The Mayor. With the show finished since May of last year what is a comedy duo to do? How about not only writing, but directing their first feature film Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, with a (bite your tongue) BILLION DOLLAR BUDGET! If that isn’t insane enough they already have a distributor lined up.

Show me the money.

Reportedly featuring Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte and William Atherton; actors that at one point appeared in Awesome Show, Great Job. As for just who is willing to distribute is has been confirmed that distributor Magnolia has officially signed their reputation away to put the “most expensive movie project” into theater for you to enjoy, with a side of coke and popcorn.

The one billion dollar project isn’t a joke either, as in a press release via IndieWire, everyone took their chance to defend the movie-

Will Ferrell said:

“You can’t put a price on creative excellence and we didn’t… maybe we should have, but we didn’t.”

As for the official release news here it is, just don’t take it too seriously. It could be the biggest joke ever seen and the biggest flop since Mars Needs Moms, either that or James Cameron is going to be doing more than kissing ass. Better start shining up those knee pads James.

SNL’s MacGruber Trailer

Is this Ok? Seeing Legion the other night I was delighted and terrified at the same time to see SNL’s 30 sec sketch phenom MacGruber starring Will Forte is being made into a full length movie. See why I’m happy and scared? A Night at the Roxbury, Superstar, Coneheads, It’s Pat…All SNL Brand movies have moderate to minimum success usually, so when its not even a full 4 minute sketch but a film made off of 30 second sketch, it makes it even riskier… I will say though, the quality of this trailer is pretty good, it looks funny and has a lot of recognizable faces, especially WWE Superstars. But a full film?…..Yikes…Roll the dice.
