Now this I didn’t expect. Last year at Comic-Con, Syfy’s president of original programming, Mark Stern, hinted that the release of Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome was sort of up in the air and might just end up as a webseries or worse, just being dropped. This past weekend at WonderCon they screened a trailer for it, and apparently composer Bear McCreary says he’s finished the score for the two hour pilot.
Taking place in the tenth year of the First Cylon War, a young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino) is a hot shot ace viper pilot aboard the Colonial fleet’s brand spankin new battlestar, the Galactica!
While there is still no official release date, they have to be close to announcing one soon. Unless of course they bump it for another Octomegashark movie or something.

Over the weekend and WonderCon, /Film had a random and unplanned chance to sit down with Damon Lindelof, who
stars as that giant head is one of the screen writers for Ridely Scott‘s upcoming Prometheus. Capitalizing on this rare chance they jumped at the chance to ask that buring question. Is the movie connected to Scott’s previous sci-fi movie, Alien.
um. We kinda know it is, don’t we? I mean, it’s pretty freakin obvious. Weyland Industries, the spaceship that crashes, the damn facehugger in the trailer. I don’t mean to sound facetious here (yes I do). For a rushed 5 minutes, it is really a great interview that packs in a lot of info and is well worth watching. My snark is mainly based on envy, since while they were at WonderCon getting a few secrets about Prometheus (as well as an update on Star Trek 2 and even a little bit about Lost,) I was in my underwear watching NetFlix and wondering where I could score a taco without the hassle of pants.
Don’t act like you’re not impressed..

As the battle for domination continues between the top two comic book companies, it looks like the house of ideas is banking on a big summer. With Marvel Comics upcoming A vs X event looming we’re already seeing what will be released after the dust settles. The publish released a teaser image today that foreshadows a new X book.
For spoiler/tease purposes, the image is up after the jump.
Ridley Scott’s Prometheus has been shrouded in a web of secrecy. I mean, is it a prequel to Alien or isn’t it? So far all we’ve seen is photos of the set and a trailer which does ooze the science fiction film we’ve been promised.
That, however, all changes on March 17th, when director Ridley Scott and Lost creator Damon Lindelof will be on hand at WonderCon 2012 for a special Q&A session. Sitting in as part of 20th Century Fox’s Prometheus panel, the pair with be on hand to answer questions about the film and introduce a brand new trailer!
