It’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights! It’s time for some shameless cross-network self-promotion. The Muppets debuts later this month on ABC, and they’re trying to raise some awareness with a series of promos featuring actors from other popular ABC series because, you know, The Muppets need more brand recognition. Of course, the original Muppet Show was well known for its celebrity guest appearances, so why not take advantage of that legacy through the lens of corporate synergy? So here are the most sensational, inspirational, celebrational, Muppetational, corporatational, promos possible for the all new Muppet show.

Let’s kick off with Castle star Nathan Fillion, who’s in the mood for pork it seems (much to Kermit’s chagrin).

Next, Goldbergs mom Wendi McClendon-Covey gives Gonzo some support.

Now Pepe the Prawn, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan, tries to get some spoilers out of Clark Gregg.

Meanwhile, Miss Piggy needs no help from other ABC stars.

And finally, Black-ish star Anthony Anderson has a bad day thanks to Sweetums.

As you’ll recall, the new Muppets will feature your favorite characters as seen in a whole new way via mockumentary style behind the scenes high jnks a la The Office or Modern Family as Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fonzie, Gonzo et al mount an all new version of their classic variety show. The show’s already had some controversy because of the break-up of Kermit and Miss Piggy, but what is a modern TV show without some sexual tension between the two leads? We’ll see just how long this break-up is going to last though…

The Muppets will premiere on ABC on Tuesday September 22 at 8 pm.
