After yesterday’s teaser for Noah, the film directed by Darren Aronofsky, based on the story of Noah’s ark, we are being treated to two full length trailers, and they’re pretty freakin’ epic.

As seen in the trailers, the movie looks like a much darker take on the story that we’ve probably all heard as kids, and with an amazingly talented cast, featuring Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, and Anthony Hopkins, bringing this story to life, it’s kind of hard to not get excited to see more of this. In addition to the super cast, the special effects and visuals look nothing short of breath taking. Somewhat surprisingly, however, is that the movie doesn’t seem overly religious in tone, besides Noah claiming to have talked to God.

See for yourself in the two trailers below:

And here’s the International trailer:

Obviously, we know the general story, no matter how it’s told, so it’s not like we’re going to have to question whether or not he gets to finish his ark at the chagrin of those angry folk in the trailer. This looks like it’s going to be a visually captivating affair, focusing on Noah’s vivid dreams/messages from God, as well as the flood itself, which we get to see a bit of in the trailer.

With that being said, I’m sure Aronofsky will work his magic in turning Noah’s story into some dark twists, and they wouldn’t have cast these notable actors unless they really wanted to tell this story in the impactful way that it should be told. From the looks of it, this isn’t something you’ll want to take your 7-year-old to see, so stick to the cartoons and kid’s books for that.
